Las excavaciones en la ciudad romana de Iluro (actual, Mataró), una fundación tardorrepublicana del litoral NE de Hispania Tarraconensis, han permitido establecer una secuencia de ocupación continuada entre los siglos I a.C. y VI d.C. Los niveles arqueológicos incluyen una gran cantidad de producciones cerámicas de importación, entre las que destacan las ánforas para aceite, vino y salazones del sur de Hispania. Su análisis permite plantear cuales han sido las formas de abastecimiento y consumo de un pequeño núcleo urbano.

The archaeological works of the roman city of Iluro (current, Mataró), a Late-Republican foundation of the coastal northeast of Hispania Tarraconensis, they have permitted to establish an occupation sequence continued between the 1st century B.C. and 6th century A.D. The archaeological levels include great quantity of importation ceramics productions, between those which emphasize the amphoras for oil, wine and saltings of the south of Hispania. That analysis permits to outline which have been the forms of supply and consumption of a small urban settlement. |
